Washing-up whisk in cereal root with two windings that makes it extra firm, for cleaning pots and pans. The double winding creates a looser end and a tighter end, giving a gentle or tougher scrubbing effect. The tighter end is great for stubborn dirt. Made of the root of a grass called zatacon, native to the arid Mexican highlands. These are very stiff, being effectively a scouring brush. Put the whisk in boiling water a few minutes before first use and you will get a tough and resilient brush.
